Open lesson on the role of international standards in KEU
On October 13, 2022, open lesson was held in FEA-1-20 group, which was conducted by senior lecturer of the Department of Commodity Science, Commodity Expertise and Restaurant Business Osmonova Bermet Bakasovna.
The topic of the open lesson was “The role of international standards in international trade” and was held in the framework of the 95th anniversary of Kyrgyzstandart ─ the Center for Standardization and Metrology under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This event was attended by representatives of the CSM "Kyrgyzstandart", namely: Head of the Department of Metrology Works of the Department of Metrology - Gulmira Dzhumagulovna Abieva, Leading Specialist of the Standardization Department - Almazbek Rypekovich Maidanov, Specialist of the 1st category of the Standardization Department - Elvira Nurlanovna Baigazieva. From KEU were: Head of the educational department - Surambaeva Astra Tashtanbekovna, as well as teachers and students of the department.
The lesson was conducted on the study and influence of international standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 22001, labour standards, health and safety standards by using interactive teaching methods such as watching videos, brainstorming, discussing current issues.
At the end of the lecture, guests from Kyrgyzstandart noted that the issues being studied are really important, and that the knowledge gained within the walls of KEU can be useful in the future, regardless of the form of activity that students want to engage. In turn, they said that their doors are always open to interested persons, and that production activities should closely interact with the academic environment.
The staff of the department was also congratulated on the upcoming day of standardization workers and on the celebration of the 95th anniversary
